The very first speciality beer of Kasteel Brouwerij Vanhonsebrouck was Bacchus Oud Bruin (Old Flemish Brown), launched in 1955. This Flemish red-brown beer offers subtle impressions of acetic acid. The fresh, sour-sweet taste is therefore typical of this type of beer. The Bacchus Cherry and Raspberry beers are produced on the basis of Bacchus Old Flemish Brown.
